Introduction of Polyanionic Cellulose (PAC)
PAC-LV and PAC-HV are white or off-white powders. They can effectively increase viscosity of water base drilling fluids and modify flow patterns as well as control filter losses in almost all water base drilling fluids, especially for the sea water application. The products are divided into two kinds including high viscosity and low viscosity.
Application of Polyanionic Cellulose (PAC)
PAC-LV and Pac-HV can be directly used in all water base drilling fluids. They can effectively increase the following value of drilling fluids and improve the shale carrying effect. They have good intermiscibility with multiple treatment agents and normally 0.3 - 1.5% is added. Recommended salt water to add is 0.7% - 0.9%.
Packaging & Storage of Polyanionic Cellulose (PAC)
PAC-LV and PAC-HV are packaged in 25-kg multi-wall paper sacks with polyethylene liners. It is required to be stored in a dry location away from sources of heat or ignition, and minimize dust. |
